Crypto Stupidity Act Sees Its Curtain Call

Yesterday, BlockPublisher reported the case of falling cash in Hong Kong.

Today’s update: This advertisement attempt that was stupid as far as the consequences are concerned, has seen its end.

The man behind this ‘rain of cash’ a.k.a. Coin Young Master has been arrested on charges of public disorder.

For a separate event than the one covered yesterday.

The man returned to the scene of the stunt to hand out more money. He held a stack of $500 notes, approximately C$85 when he was escorted away by police.

Wong Ching-Kit, who runs a Facebook page named Epoch Cryptocurrency was seen in a video asking “Does anyone believe that money can fall from the sky?” Right after this dialogue, money starts falling from the building behind him.

The ad was for a competition in which participants can [allegedly] win large cash prizes.

The recent act may have been a recreation of this advertisement as an act of making people believe that cash does fall from the sky.

When the first reports for this came in, news spread that the man behind this stupidity was a capricious millionaire who was just ‘showing off’ but as the news developed, the source of income of this man was found to be a pyramid scheme. His page Epoch Cryptocurrency supports investments in cryptocurrency.

There’s no estimate as to how much cash was involved in this act. The police claim to have only recovered 6,000 Hong Kong dollars ($767).

This Lamborghini driving, self-proclaimed Robin Hood has only one thing common with the real Robin Hood: both got caught.
