Our world is a big world. It is so big that it has countless problems. Perhaps as much as ∞ x ∞ problems, but it also has ∞ x ∞ solutions. All of that and the world is still not full yet. It is saturated with ideas, and still there are more and more ideas coming in everyday. Perhaps there is no such thing as a concept saturation after all.
It has a big fat store of intellectual resources thanks to the computers, the internet and the cloud tech, but it also forgets very easily. The three time ambushed library of Alexandria for example, has been forgotten.
The Hagia Sophia has been renamed so many times under so many governments that its walls have forgotten their own story, their own identity.
The world is big world and a funny world and it forgets. But that is not all of what is wrong with the world, there is more. The world is comprised of so many more unbelievable problems, such as its very own problem of turning a blind eye to what is most needed of it – unbelievable.
When the world needs to rearrange its spending patterns to save economies and a global spending bubble burst situation, it turns a blind eye. When the world should rearrange its food resource, it starts dumping in poorer countries to cheat the system, while it may have been possible to end world hunger if instead it focused on thinking better.
Before the world could reject the internet, it should have made it a number requirement in all global trade for countries to introduce it to people so that the ripple effect that has naturally settled in now could have been given a head start.
The world should have spread ideas like Paypal, Kickstarter and GoFundMe.com sooner but it is just doing so now, while calling their expansion rate exponentially rapid. The world should have adopted social media and copyrights, cyber crime laws a whole decade ago when it is doing so now. The world should have been able to accept the the internet technology and computing power three decades ago which it is doing now.
The world is late at all parties, and now there is no party left in us. The world is late to all technologies and inventions while the idea of innovation may be becoming a particularly scarce one.
But, the world should not be late to the blockchain party because there is no time left in us to waste. The world is a big world with big problems and big solutions, only nobody is working towards them in this big fat world.
The world should have worked on relief and not greed, blockchain and not counterfeit penalization, precaution and not cure, cryptocurrency and not urban rural migration, virtual reality and not disneylands, food distribution and not food aid charity, investment and not loaning.
The world should have thought of rehabilitating and not depriving, the world should have worked on being a world and not armies or countries or business organisations.
