Spanish Hotel Chain May Soon Start Accepting Bitcoin From Guests After Launching Blockchain Pilot
As the demand for crypto and blockchain technology increases, more and more businesses and organizations are hopping on board the crypto express to cater to consumer’s demands.

One such business is a state of the art hotel chain scattered across Spain called the Casual Hoteles, which is reportedly trying to get involved in the wonders of blockchain technology via a pilot test whereby they establish whether tourists and guests at the hotels appreciate the availability to obtain services via Bitcoin.
The hotel chain operates in locations throughout Spain, including, Valenica, San Sebastian, Madrid, Valencia and Seville. Casual Malaga del Mar will be the first location where this Bitcoin pilot test will begin.

According to the hotel’s official Facebook page, they “Are the first chain with themed hotels in Spain! Each room is different and we have something for everyone in Valencia, Madrid, Bilbao, Seville and Malaga. We specialize in family trips with triple and quadruple rooms as well as doubles and trips with pets… with special packages that will make the trip more than comfortable and if you book online they will be free.”

This decision comes from the growing trend among Spain’s nomad centric youth that prefer the latest technology over more traditional methods. As the world progresses, it has become extremely important for local businesses and companies to keep up and provide their tech savvy consumers what they need. Especially since the youth prefers making payments and transactions via mobile and digital apps.
The blockchain based projects allows several methods for users to engage with cryptos to make transactions either via scanning a QR code present on the hotel’s official website and in the reception area or they simply use a BitPay account which reads the amount in process via WhatsApp, converts it into Euros and then deducts that amount from their Bitcoin wallets.

According to the report, besides Bitcoin the hotel is also trying to test the project with Amazon Pay, so that they give their tech savvy consumers the most options in hopes that they will like this business model over others.
