SFBW Kicks Off in San Francisco

Gear up crypto and block lovers as the week-long San Francisco Blockchain Week (SFBW) kicks off. With high profile personalities like Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin and Ella Zhang, the head of Binance Labs , SFPW is a week-long event that is scheduled to bring together communities from all over the world to explore new use-cases and incite masses for a global adoption of blockchain. With more than 100 blockchain companies and 5000 individuals participating, all the preparations are complete and the event is ready to be commenced. The event managers only request the attendees to “Come to Learn and Stay Curious!”.

The main event being featured at SPBW is the world’s largest ethereum hackathon which is being judged by the creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, himself. This particular hackathon will span over a time of 2 days, with an initial interview with Buterin and Balaji Srinivasan. Subsequently, the 36 hours long contest will begin. The competitors will be in charge of channeling ethereum’s power to provide innovative solutions to real-life problems. The contestants will be provided aid in the form of resources such as mentors, sponsors, and software. This competition will be followed by SF Blockchain Week Epicenter and Crypto Economics Security Conference.

Also, CESC, being hosted by Dekrypt Capital and Blockchain at Berkeley, aims to induce collaborative efforts to improve the scalability of blockchain applications. The conference will kick off with a keynote by RChain. Moreover, speakers at the conference will stress upon how the economic security aspect of blockchain can be improved. This includes a various set of knowledgeable sessions about game theory, incentive design, mechanism design, and market design. Other events being featured include IBM Hackathon and BCH Devcon.
