Popstars and Bitcoin Make Strange Lovers

Recently, pop stars and cryptocurrency have been in a strange relationship, something that we didn’t expect to see so soon. But it seems like they have tied the knot, figuratively.

A-listers like Kanye, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry have all mentioned Bitcoin in some or the other, adding to its glory. Now, we don’t know if they are being paid for it or they are genuinely interested in it, it works for cryptocurrency either way.

We rounded up some tracks that all mention cryptocurrency, overtly and some more subtly.

Remy – Bitcoin Billionaire

No doubts there as the name itself has the word bitcoin in it. This might be the funniest songs ever released about cryptocurrency. This catchy line has been stuck in our head ever since we first heard it:

A money like my last girl
Completely virtual

Coindaddy – Alt Season

A fairly obvious one as well, Coindaddy has been a loyal user of cryptocurrency for a long time now. He makes a regular living out of it so it’s safe to say that this isn’t a paid campaign. Just kidding, who are we to judge anyway.

But in all seriousness, Coindaddy is the real deal when it comes to cryptocurrency, that explains the name, however, we can’t say the same for his music career.

Alt Season

Ytcracker – Bitcoin Baron

We haven’t heard the name of the artist before but we can say he produced a great song. Giving us the most electronic track on this list; we can definitely dance to this one

I’m a bitcoin baron, I’m scaring the status quo.

Damn right it is!

The Bitcoin Dip – We Miss You

This one really went all out and dedicated the name to Bitcoin as well. We seriously wonder what they are gonna do after cryptocurrency declines.

Anyway, the song isn’t an original and is actually a cover of Puff Daddy’s “I’ll be Missing You” which is again a cover of “I’ll Be Watching You”. It’s a musical number that has been forked as many times as Bitcoin!

Lil Windex – Bitcoin Ca$h

We don’t know what is rapper’s obsession with the word Lil but anyway, named after a pretty famous cleaning product.

Lil Windex is a Canadian rapper particularly obsessed with Bitcoin Cash.

Cryptocurrency Girls – The Moon and Cryptocurrency and Me

The only girl band that is singing about the famous nerd money. You can always count on Japan to make things crazy and here they are delivering with this eight girls strong band. Each member dressed up as a cryptocurrency and educates the audience about it in a more fun way.

Laura Saggers – 10,000 Bitcoins

Not the best one out there but hey, the girl’s trying.

Mayday and Murs – Bitcoin Beezy

No comments on the song but the music video looks like a Bitcoin documentary coupled with some infographics. Ditching all subtlety there, the song and the music video is all about Bitcoin. Shot in some average looking Bitcoin office, we must say they need a new production team.

Ricegum – Bitcoin

You may not have heard of his existence but Ricegum is a YouTuber that has also done his part for the bitcoin music industry. His little contribution might not be that famous but according to his YouTube channel, he has 10 million subscribers so I guess he must be known in some part of the world.

Eminem – Not Alike

The king of rap himself is in the Bitcoin ring. Eminem is back with more rage and relevancy and staying with the modern times. The reference to Bitcoin in his song, Not Alike, is obvious yet metaphorical. It goes something like this:

‘Member everybody used to bit Nickel
Now everybody doin’ Bitcoin

That’s some progress but we don’t see any of these songs topping any charts soon. But crypto fans can take comfort that they have something they can sing along to.
