Storage of data for applications is already a concern and there are some players in the industry like Storj, FileCoin, Sia, and NextCloud that are solving this problem. Lambda is another blockchain infrastructure project that provides data storage capabilities with unlimited scalability to decentralized apps (Dapps) and provides data privacy protection, cross-chain data management, distributed intelligent computing and multi-chain data co-storage.
Talking about her background and how she became part of Lambda, Lucy Wang stated;
‘I currently am the co-founder and CMO of Lambda. Previously, I worked in the enterprise software and services industry with multinational corporations like SAP and Oracle, as well as VC backed start-ups in China. I have many years of broad experience at both the execution and management level in fields like sales and marketing, sales operation, product management and business development. I joined my first start-up in 2015 when local Chinese startups saw a lot of grow. My first role was CMO for an enterprise transportation management SaaS company headquartered in Shanghai. Then I went into marketing automation SaaS where I joined one of my customers as the GM to manage the creation and development of its SMB market leveraging the methodology and product of marketing automation.
The founder of Lambda, Mr. He Xiaoyang, is a good personal friend of mine. I have known him for more than five years. The first time he spoke with me about Lambda was at the end of 2018. Initially, I had a little reservation about it mainly due to some bad press about ICO scams; however, He Xiaoyang is a trusted friend and I agreed to be open minded and provide marketing assistance. For the next several months I observed He Xiaoyang and his developer team working passionately on architecture design, technical prototype, the whitepaper, pilot customers and more. During this process I become more engaged and excited about Lambda’s possibilities. I am also learning a lot about blockchain and am fascinated by the potential that lies ahead. In June 2018, I decided to join the team full time. I feel so excited about what we are doing and what we are about to create’.
Talking about Lambda’s team, she said;
‘We firmly believe one of the most critical success factors of any start-up ventures is the team. Our core team consists of serial entrepreneurs in infrastructure software, avid open source community contributors, and seasoned business operation professionals. Our core team includes HE Xiaoyang who is founder and CEO, GAO Haiqiang, co-founder and CTO and I’m co-founder and CMO.
Mr. HE is a well-known expert in infrastructure and open source software in China. Prior to Lambda, he was the co-founder of OneAPM, a fast-growing infrastructure software focusing on ITOM (IT operation management) in China. OneAPM is known as the “New Relic or AppDynamics of China” and the company has received strong VC backing from Matrix Partners, Chengwei Capital, and Qiming Venture. Prior to his entrepreneur experiences, Mr. HE worked at BEA as a R&D software engineer. In addition, Mr. HE is also a blogger with strong following in China and some of his articles have been published by major media such as Forbes China, 36Kr, Sina, etc.Mr. GAO’s professional experiences include VP of technology for a network optimization company ACSNO, founder/CEO of OneASP, a network security subsidiary of OneAPM, and VP of technology of OneAPM. Mr. GAO and Mr. HE have worked together for over 5 years.
In addition to our core management team, we also have an experienced team of advisors including Lucien Chen (CTO of TRON), Tian Jia (serial entrepreneur, ex-Alibaba, ex-Baidu), BMAN (Co-founder of Lijiaoshou which was acquired by Baidu), Wang Tao (co-founder of Sequoia DB), Chen Yuan (founder of Yi Cloud, the “Box.net of China”), and Liu Chunhua (founder of JieShi Security)’.
