It has been an exciting week for Tron followers as it has been involved in numerous announcements such as the activation of Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) on the Tron network and participation at the San Francisco Blockchain Week. But none bigger than the tight-lipped announcement that founder Justin Sun made on October 12, regarding a partnership with a multi-billion industrial giant.
Sun was in no mood to spill the beans about whom this partnership was made with and hasn’t yet provided any follow up on the space. He tweeted to get TRX investors and followers hyped up by saying in a tweet:
Finally, First time to partner with tens of billions USD valuation industry giant. Guess the name
#TRON #TRX $TRX
There has been speculation about the other end of the partnership and many are regarding this as something big to come up, considering the rather direct nature of Justin Sun, who doesn’t usually make announcements just to make the hype. One of those believers is the newly inducted member of the Forbes Finance Council and Linda Coin‘s blockchain advisor, David Gokhshtein. David, like the rest, was trying to figure out what Sun’s announcement was about entirely, but suggested that the Tron founder was on to something big as he usually does not make announcements this way. Talking to BlockPublisher, David said:
Yeah, I’m thinking it’s a good play here. He isn’t that type to hype something.
David also portrayed a firm belief that Justin Sun is more about than just creating a token. He suggested that Sun is in the space for the long haul and will build an empire. The current tight-lipped announcement is just the start. He said:
This [announcement] is bigger than just creating a coin. I’ve been saying this for months. Justin is not playing around. He’s here to build an empire and take over.
Sun has also been busy in promoting Project Atlas, which aims to pave new ways for content distribution. It connects the BitTorrent peer-to-peer protocol and all its user base to the Tron network and creates a decentralized content distribution eco-system.
