Facilitating Crypto Payments Via Text Messaging Applications

The new generation is hungry for technological innovations. Where the older ones are too hesitant to accept a new technology, youth leaps to the front and embraces it with open arms. That has been the case for almost every technological innovation that has appeared to date. People were terrified of the moving pictures on the tv screen as much as they were scared of telephone. In the relatively newer era, there are numerous other technologies that have not been very well received by the older generations. Internet, Wifi, video games, all these have been known to produce some kind of dilemma for them. Likewise, it has indeed been a decade since cryptocurrencies were introduced to the world and the stigma is nowhere near ending.

One other such innovation was the Mobile phones that enabled wireless communication. Mobile phones have become a constant and important part of our lives and none of us really part with them throughout the day. Furthermore, where the services such as text messaging has facilitated communication and placed the web within the reach of every human being. The use of smart phones for almost every every task that used to be done previously with the help of personal computers made a whole new market for mobile applications. Today a number of companies have made their own mobile application that can be run on any Android or iOS systems.

With the growing interest of a number of companies into blockchain and its numerous application, close to few have shown interest in cryptocurrencies. Its popularity however has been increasing in the young community in the field. Owing to this trend, various companies have been making changes to incorporate crypto based payments in their platforms. By facilitating their users to make cryptocurrency based payments, many of these platforms trying to promote the trade of cryptocurrencies.

Since the younger generations have been so eager to embrace cryptocurrencies the social media giants like facebook have also integrated a cryptocurrency division. There have also been reports of the mentioned company to have been making a cryptocurrency for Whatsapp. This token could be utilized for making transactions. The social media giant was previously skeptic to adopt the technology as they had placed a ban on the advertisement of all cryptocurrencies, that seems to have changed as the announcement of the formation of their own token came out.

Among the other text messaging platforms, there is Zulu Republic, a startup, that also provides the necessary services to communicate and send text messages back and forth. They have developed the application to facilitate the transactions on applications like facebook messenger, telegram, not to mention the good old SMS as well, for which there are hardly any requirements other than phone services. The application Lite.im supports its very own token which is called ZTX. The platform will support a wide range of cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH and LTC in addition to its native token. Lite.im uses RSA encryption that would ensure that whoever uses the application would not lose their private keys and passwords. As of now, Lite.im is live and working.

It would suffice to say that cryptocurrencies have not altogether been rejected by the world. The acceptance was scarce in the early days. Many people did not resort to them, and considered it to be digital gold, an investment tool, rather than an innovative technology that had utility. However, with many of the bigger names in the tech industry like facebook and whatsapp coming on board and providing crypto related solutions to facilitate transactions, it is highly likely that we are to see an increase in the number of people resorting to crypto based payments.
