How Bitcoin And Lingerie Empowered Women This Valentine’s Day, And It is not over yet!

With Valentine’s Day is not over yet, consumer shopping patterns are sure to get racy.

However, several sellers of women’s intimate apparel are noticing a very unusual trend in the market.

More and more users are using Bitcoin to buy their valentines day lingerie!

In an interview with Coindesk, Panties.com founder, Lila Williams confirmed that ever since the business began accepting Bitcoins in 2017, they’ve seen an exponential growth in the number of users willing to spend their valuable crypto coins for the bedroom.

It makes sense why users opt to shop for lingerie via bitcoins according to the owner of the shop who further stated that the amount of crypto consumers increases each month, partially due to the 15% discount reserved solely for Bitcoiners.

Although special discounted prices are tempting for many, the general trend in the market does not showcase huge numbers of consumers spending their crypto coins on something as hush-hush as their lingerie. However, these trends might be changing. Especially with more and more women exploring the limitless possibilities of blockchain technologies.

In another interview with a female-led enterprise, Coindesk  interviewed, the CEO of Kala which is also a lingerie brand, Rebecca Migirov who confirmed that we were witnessing a “women-led revolution” where more and more people (especially women) are buying their everyday necessities with cryptocurrency and this in turn reaffirms the demand for blockchain technology.

And this demand is increasing with V-Day almost here!

While the general idea is that cryptocurrency is usually to be invested in or used for purely financial transactions, we love the idea of people using this revolutionary technology to buy whatever they want! After all isn’t that what the concept of a world filled with decentralized networks and options means?

Many consumers also opt for Bitcoin due to the limitations that censorship poses.  This is because many lingerie and nightwear online shops are mistaken for porno sites. Which judging by the way most lingerie is advertised is not quite so surprising.

However the use of cryptocurrencies might finally do away with this very real problem that brands face and might lead to greater advertising avenues for the lingerie industry.
