It’s no surprise that with the continuous breakthroughs in digital sciences and exponential increase in data streams, experts in both these fields have alot of demand. LinkedIn’s report observed the same.

‘It’s no surprise that we’re seeing an explosion of machine learning roles and continuing growth of data science roles.. both fields are starting to see more specialized roles emerge. It also may not shock you that Blockchain Developer is topping the list following this year’s surge in interest around blockchain and cryptocurrency.’

LinkedIn also acknowledges the air of uncertainty associated with blockchain community noting in its report that ‘Only time will tell if blockchain will be a long-standing trend in the job market..’

Amidst all this welcoming attitude expressed by this report, keep in mind that the bear markets has negatively affected the creation of jobs which are blockchain related. The growth represented here is just the accommodation of a whole industry in the financial sphere.

But certainly, times are changing. With institutions looking into the accommodation of blockchain into the sphere, this could be a goldmine of new jobs and skills. Many universities, including Univeristy of California, have taken the first step into this direction by offering credited courses on blockchain.

With “What is blockchain?’ the most asked ‘what is’ queries on Google, there’s more of blockchain coming.
