Are you Team #CryptoKitties or #TronDogs?

Are you those few people who dream of having a pet but, cannot at the same time? Either because you’re not living alone or are not yet ready to take responsibility for another life? Or is it because you have allergies? We’re guessing the developers of these applications might have concurred a similar fate or maybe they simply loved the digital world too much. In any case, it doesn’t really matter what motivated people to make CryptoKitties or TronDogs but we’re glad they did.

CryptoKitties took the world by storm back in 2017 and brought in $3 million USD within the first week of launch. It emerged as the first decentralized application and since then many others have followed suit. Tron Dogs has taken over recently, built by Game.com and is being run on the Ethereum network.

Back in 2017 CryptoKitties took the world by storm bringing in a massive $3 million USD within the first week of its launch. It gathered so much popularity in much less time that it began taking up nearly a third of Ethereum’s total hashing power. Any move within the game is individually documented and Ethereum wasn’t equipped to handle this just yet.

The entire premise of this game is to purchase, collect, breed and sell various types of virtual cats. The ownership is tracked via smart contracts. There’s a limit of 4 billion cats that can be bred. They possess distinct visual appearances and several traits can be passed down from the parent to the offspring like; eyes, color, fur, mouth, pattern, etc. However, you cannot change or alter the look of your cat and the individuals playing the game determine the unique cattributes of the digital pets. People breed them in hopes of breeding a rare kitty so they could auction it for money.

Tron Dogs is very similar to CryptoKitties as well except that it was first launched in Asia. It is also run on Ethereum blockchain. The digital dogs can be bought by pet stores run by players. Recently, it introduced the breeding feature, something that was present at the launch of CryptoKitties. But I bet the news got you feeling this happy too!

Both Tron Dogs and CryptoKitties are collectible games in which you can breed your own digital pets. While CryptoKitties suffered due to the incapability of Ethereum network to handle the mass traffic of the game, its still in the market.

These games are targeted towards a specific audience that is interested in nurturing a digital pet while making money off of them. But these furry little pets are to die for so all the more reason to start breeding. Also, did we forget to tell you that you can earn money too??

So what team are you on; CryptoKitties or Tron Dogs? OR BOTH?
