All The Bitcoin Lovers Are Crying Out Loud

A few days ago I shared some good news with my fellow crypto-lovers. News was not only for them but also geeks and other people who like watching TV shows. If you missed out on my article, then I’ll tell it again.

Cryptocurrency was getting its own TV show. The “Entourage” star Kevin Connolly was set to work on a project called Cryptos. The star was set to be working both, on-screen and off-screen; he was going to act and direct.

The show was set to be released this year. It had an interesting story as well. The show was based on five friend who are fighting in the highly competitive movie industry to finance their film. Demotivated by the lack of response from traditional funding source they decide to switch to the blockchain system. They make a decentralized film and disrupt the system. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately, we heard it from Kevin Connolly himself that the show won’t taking place. After I shared the news with the world via Twitter. Connolly retweeted it back saying that it has been cancelled.

We are as saddened by this news as you are.

People inquired why it was not happening anymore to which he didn’t reply. So even we are unaware why the show was abruptly cancelled despite having an official website and even a trailer. The show was backed by crypto enthusiasts such as Jason King and Erik Sords.

King is the co-founder of Academy School of Blockchain, an institution that is used as a token launch to raise funds. Whereas the latter is an active participant of the cryptocurrency startup world. He is also the founder of Dionysia Film Studio in Los Angeles.

There could be a number of reasons such as less resources to carry out the project, many one of the parties backed out or some other personal reason of any of those involved. Since there is no word out yet, we are only left to speculate.

I am sorry crypto fans. I know all of us were really excited. We can still hope that the project gets delayed instead of getting cancelled altogether. OR some other picks it up because the story is quite interesting. We can only pray while we wait for Connolly to enlighten us with what really went down.
