BitTorrent’s Creator Wants Everyone to Know He’s Not Involved in TRON’s Crypto Endeavors

The news of TRON’s acquisition of BitTorrent took the world of crypto news by storm. Following the sale of the platform and the subsequent launch of a crypto token, the visionary computer programmer behind the peer-to-peer file sharing protocol of BitTorrent, Bram Cohen, parted ways with the platform. But it seems that some people just didn’t get the whole concept of him “parting ways”, and now Cohen is making it loud and clear that he is NOT involved with TRON.
I'm no longer in any way affiliated with BitTorrent and have never been affiliated with Tron or Justin Sun

While scrolling through his twitter feed, you’ll find quite a few tweets like the one above, which is from Monday night. And is pinned to the top of his page.
Since the beginning of this year, he has published a total of seven tweets, similar to this one. Making it crystal clear that there is no connection whatsoever between TRON and him, nor is he involved in the platform’s rather controversial decision of holding a BitTorrent ICO.
But it seems like his message is getting lost in translation or something because despite his best efforts, people just fail to comprehend the entire situation.
I stopped being full time at BitTorrent in summer 2017 and my involvement ended when it sold to Tron last year

And so Cohen is left with no other choice than to just keep tweeting, thus the vicious cycle continues.
However, Cohen’s separation from his initial project doesn’t mean that he is done with all things crypto. In fact he himself, is launching a cryptocurrency, called Chia. The project aims to be a “blockchain based on proofs of space and time to make a cryptocurrency that is less wasteful, more decentralized, and more secure.”

To be honest, it is pretty understandable why Cohen keeps tweeting and clarifying things. Now with his own project in the works, he probably just doesn’t want any part in the Justin Sun-led project, which is controversial even within the cryptocurrency circle. It is literally viewed by critics in a harsh light, considering its laundry list ranging from plagiarism scandals to partnerships that seemed to be less than what was advertised.
TRON’s laundry list is another story meanwhile lets just hope the “crypto twitter-ati” leaves Cohen alone about his BitTorrent related past. Stay tuned to BlockPublisher for further updates.
