What is Up With Ethereum?
Ethereum developers are up to something these days. According to a well-renowned news source, different strategies are being made by the platform’s developers to step up the game of the third-largest blockchain in the world. The possibility of a hard fork may also be in the works.
Several meetings took place earlier this month at a conference organized by ethereum. The minutes from these meetings give us a hint that a major ethereum upgrade might just be around. An upgrade with the name of “ethereum 1x” is planned to be rolled out by June 2019.
The credibility of these minutes, which are now present on GitHub, is also guaranteed by one attendee.
The ethereum developers are now stepping on the gas to improve the platform at an accelerated rate. Various things associated with the hard fork, that seems to be around the corner, were discussed in the meetings.
Lightning Labs developer Alex Bosworth has created a platform named Yalls where users can engage as nodes to read articles using a username and password. The identity of the users is kept safe and secure.
On Yalls, it costs a cent to read a post and if one leaves a comment, it costs 0.5 cents. The blog is also seeing bitcoin micropayments by employing the lightening scaling solution.

Giga Watt in Trouble?
On Monday, a renowned bitcoin mining company Giga Watt declared bankruptcy in the federal court in Washington. The company is stuck under the burden of the lawsuits that have been filed against the firm regarding its issuance of a crypto token.
The firm explained that the assets it had left were worth less than $50,000. But later on, it was updated by the platform that it had assets worth between $10 million and $50 million. The firm also owed an amount of around $7 million to its twenty major unsecured creditors.
